SGC Series Catalyst FCC catalyst
Applicable Scope
SGC-1 is a heavy oil cracking catalyst aimed at maximizing gasoline yield.
Characteristics
SGC-1 Catalyst was firstly tailored for #2 FCCU of SINOPEC Yanshan Petrochemical. SGC-1 catalyst performed well in bottom conversion, maximizing gasoline yield and improving coke selectivity.
Design Philosophy
SGC-1 catalyst adopts highly stable zeolite HSY and structure optimized zeolite SOY as main active components, which have very low non-framework aluminum content and gradient acidity distribution. Zeolite HSY and SOY both have good thermal and hydrothermal stability, high activity and excellent coke selectivity. In addition, SGC-1 catalyst adopts active alumina matrix suitable for the precracking of large hydrocarbon molecules to enhance heavy oil conversion with lower coke yield.

Commercial Reference
The commercial trial of SGC-1 catalyst was conducted in #2 FCCU of SINOPEC Yanshan Petrochemical in May 2013. The results are listed in Table 2. It can be seen that when the feed properties were similar, the product distribution of SGC-1 were obviously improved comparing with base conditions. Gasoline yield increased by 5.33%, total liquid yield increased by 3.07%, LCO yield decreased by 3.09%, and coke yield reduced by 2.21%. The industrial application results showed that the SGC-1 catalyst has an excellent gasoline selectivity and lower coke selectivity.
